Top Ten Tips to the Ultimate Valentine's Day ....

1. February 4th: Have you planned your out your date yet? Will it be a romantic dinner at the restaurant where you had your first date? Will it be dinner/movie at home after the kids go to bed? You could plan a Friday or Saturday night date since Valentine's Day falls on Thursday this year.

2. February 5th: Arrange for a babysitter!!

3. Februaury 7th: Go shopping! You'll need to pick up: Hershey's Hugs and Kisses candy; a heart shaped container to put them in; a picture frame; a red t-shirt; blank CDs; and heart shaped or red/pink/white candles.

4. February 8th: Make or buy a Valentine's Day card. Plan out your dinner menu if your cooking at home!

5. February 9th: Make reservations if necessary! Burn a CD of "your songs". Buy your menu items.

6. February 10th: Write 4 love notes including clues to your Valentine's Day surprise. Write them to coordinate with your surprises that you'll be leaving. Find or take a photo of the 2 of you and place it in the frame.

7. February 11th: Put the Hugs and Kisses in the heart shaped container and leave them on the kitchen counter with a note for your spouse to find!

8. February 12th: After the kids are in bed, light the candles that you bought and play the CD with "your songs". Give your spouse the second note.

9. February 13th: Leave the red shirt on your spouse's pillow- everyone needs something red to wear on Valentine's Day!! Leave your third note.

10. Valentine's Day: The BIG day! Are you excited?? Place a the photo of the 2 of you along with the 4th note, on the bathroom counter before your spouse wakes up. This way he/she will have something to look forward to all day! Pick up some flowers (I know that my husband likes a flower from me every once and a while too!) Give your spouse the card and reveal your plans!

I like the idea of the CD. We like the same music which is always nice. We don't do much for VD but that is okay, I think it would be fun to mop up the floor with him sometime... hehehe.
No, we usually do dinner together. I am happy with our ways, we've been married for 35 years in September this year!
Thanks for your suggestions.
